Stovetop Macaroni and Cheese

A 15-minute, 8 ingredient crowd pleasing meal. Serves 8.

Ingredients

8 oz uncooked macaroni
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp garlic powder
1 cup whole milk
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
2 cups grated cheese

Method

Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

For the cheese sauce, mix the flour, salt and garlic powder in a small bowl. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour mixture and whisk, cooking for 1 minute until slightly brown. 

Add the milk and whisk until smooth. Add Greek yogurt and whisk until smooth. Cook on medium-high until thickened (3–5 min), do not boil. Reduce heat to low and add grated cheese, whisk until smooth. 

Stir in the macaroni to coat. Serve and enjoy!
