Fruit Smoothies

Mango & Orange Cardamom Lassi 
A smoothie the colour of sunshine with flavours that shine. Makes 2 servings.

Ingredients

1 cup chopped very ripe mango or frozen mango pieces
1 cup Orange Blossom & Cardamom Greek yogurt
1/2 cup milk or almond milk
4 tsp honey
Dash ground cardamom or cinnamon to garnish
2-4 ice cubes

Method

Put the mango, yogurt, milk, and honey into a blender and blend until smooth. If using fresh mango, add a handful of ice and pulse.

Pour contents into glasses and top with a pinch of cardamom or cinnamon to serve.


Super Berry Smoothie
This is a favourite with kids. Use whatever berries are in season, they all taste great with our Prairie Berry yogurt. Makes 2 servings.

Ingredients

2 cups frozen raspberries
1 banana
1/4 cup Prairie Berry Yogurt
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk or almond milk
1 Tbsp honey
For the garnish: Frozen raspberry, hemp hearts

Method

Place all ingredients in a blender, breaking the banana into pieces. Blend until creamy, stopping and scraping down the sides as necessary. Divide into glasses and garnish with  frozen raspberries and hemp hearts, if desired.


Tropical Green Smoothie
Imagine yourself on a beach with palm trees swaying… get your greens and a mini-vacation while you sip this smoothie. Makes 2 servings.

Ingredients

1/2 cup sliced cucumber
1 heaping cup cubed pineapple (if frozen, omit ice)
1/2 large ripe, peeled, frozen or fresh banana
1/4 cup Coconut Lime Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup water
juice and zest of one lime
1 large handful greens (spinach or kale)
2-4 ice cubes

Method

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until creamy and smooth, scraping down sides as needed. Pour into glasses and serve with sliced cucumber garnish.
