Eggnog Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are a great way to have a tasty breakfast with minimal work the night before. This recipe uses real eggnog and greek yogurt to create a creamy, rich and healthy breakfast, perfect for the holiday season. These oats are delicious cold but if you prefer your oats warm just heat them in the microwave or on the stove top and give them a good stir before enjoying. Serves 2.

Ingredients

½ cup eggnog
1 cup Tree Island Natural Greek Yogurt
1 cup old fashioned oats
2 Tbsp orange juice
1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
1 Tbsp hemp seeds (optional)
¼  tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Method

Combine eggnog, yogurt, nutmeg and cinnamon in a small bowl with a pinch of salt. Stir in oats, chia and hemp seeds.

Divide mixture evenly between two mason jars.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or ideally overnight before serving.

Additions: mix in dried cranberries, dried cherries or fresh pomegranate seeds.
