Chocolate Orange Yogurt Dessert

Simple to prepare and sure to be a crowd-pleaser, this dessert has the nutritional benefits of Greek Yogurt and ALL the chocolate, orange and cardamom flavour required to make it a holiday dessert staple. Can be made up to a day ahead. Serves 4-6.

Ingredients

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup 2% milk
1 full container (325g) Tree Island Orange Blossom & Cardamom Greek Yogurt
Zest from one small orange
Pinch of salt

Method

To make in a microwave:

In a microwave safe bowl or dish add all of the ingredients except the yogurt.

Heat for 30 second increments until you are able to whisk the ingredients together and the chocolate mixture is smooth. 

Set mixture aside, covered, for 30 minutes.

Whisk the chocolate mixture for about 30 seconds. Add the full container of yogurt and continue whisking until combined.

Divide the mixture into 4-6 dishes of your choice and allow to set for at least 3 hours or overnight in the fridge prior to serving.

To make on the stovetop:

Place chocolate chips, orange zest and salt in a heat safe bowl. In a small saucepan, heat the milk until lightly boiling. Pour milk over chocolate chips, let sit for 2-3 minutes then whisk to combine.

Set mixture aside, covered, for 30 minutes.

Whisk the chocolate mixture for about 30 seconds. Add the full container of yogurt and continue whisking until combined.

Divide the mixture into 4-6 dishes of your choice and allow to set for at least 3 hours or overnight in the fridge prior to serving.
